A very generous offer!

This is a blog about our new conservatory. Sounds boring, eh?

Stop reading here if house rennovations are not your thang. You will get bored. You have been warned!

This journey starts on Christmas Day 2008 when we were all sat down to breakfast with Chris' parents. In case you are wondering, we had fresh croissants, freshly squeezed orange juice and nutella. Every Christmas, Chris insists on having a cooked breakfast. I have no idea why anybody would want a cooked breakfast on Christmas Day, when you are going to stuff yourself until you burst later on. But hey ho. That bit is irrelevant right now.

So, we were chatting about Christmas presents, when Chris' parents (lets call them Mick and Bev from now on) suddenly offered to pay for a new conservatory for us! We had John's Christening party in our current conservatory (in November 2008) and it leaked during the party. We had to have towels on the floor to stop people's feet becoming wet. They said that they felt so sorry for us that they wanted to help us out.

We thanked them for their oh so generous offer and said we would talk about it between ourselves. The matter was not really discussed for the rest of the day and we spent Christmas in a blissful haze of food and drink.
